Hello everyone,
Welcome to the 2026 Autumn/Winter netball season! 🏐
It’s great to be back on court and wonderful to see the energy and enthusiasm already flowing after the completion of Round 1.
This season we have
20 teams registered – playing across Saturday, Monday and Thursday competitions, which is a fantastic result for our Club 👏
Fixtures & Grading 📅
EDNA grading will continue over the next few weeks, so fixtures will be released on a
week-by-week basis for a short period while this process is completed. Thank you in advance for your patience as teams are finalised into their appropriate grades.
Team Availability – U13s & U15s🟢We still have
a couple of spots available in Under 13s for both
Saturday and Thursday night competitions, as well as the
Saturday's U15 Robins. If you know of anyone interested, or if your child would like to join a team, please reach out to the Committee or your Team Manager.
Playing for Other Clubs 🤝We know a number of our members also play on
Saturday mornings at Parkville for alternate clubs, and we are supportive of this.
However, please note that
EDNA will only accommodate fixture clashes for Thunder. Fixture clashes with alternate clubs will not be accommodated, and availability for our Club should be considered when committing to multiple competitions.
Committee & Volunteers 💙The Committee will be holding our
first meeting of the year next week, and we would absolutely love to welcome some new faces. We currently have vacancies for roles including
Secretary, Uniform Officer, Digital, and more. Keep an eye on
Calendar Events for details.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested or would like to learn more. Quite simply,
without volunteers, our Club doesn’t exist, and your support truly makes a difference 🙌
Training Tops Update & Hoodie Orders👕I would also like to sincerely apologise for the supplier issues we experienced with training tops last season. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.
A new order has now been submitted. These will be generic training tops, as the Committee has agreed that we will
no longer be ordering personalised merchandise. This decision has been made for both Child Safety and ESG reasons, and will also allow families to repurpose items across seasons and siblings ♻️
We’re currently working on a
new hoodie design, which will be released shortly for
pre-orders. More details coming soon!
Uniform Pop-Up Store If you have any
club uniforms at home that no longer fit, please bring them down to training for our uniform pop-up store.
We will
purchase items that are in good condition, helping other families and supporting sustainability within our Club. ♻️
Game Day Housekeeping & Reminders 📣A few important reminders for all players and families:
- ✂️ Please ensure
nails are trimmed and all jewellery is removed or taped before arriving at the courts.- 🎤
The only coaching voice during games is the Coach’s. Positive, encouraging cheering from the sidelines is always welcome.
- ❗ Any
queries or concerns on game day should be directed to your Team Manager, who will take the appropriate course of action.
Under no circumstances should a Coach be approached directly. - ☀️ With warmer weather, please remember to
hydrate before games, wear sunscreen, and take care in the heat.
EDNA will advise of any game cancellations or changes on game days as required.
EDNA's Heat Policy.
- 📩 If you or your child are
unable to play a round, please advise your
Team Manager as early as possible so we can ensure enough players are available.
- 💸 Please note that the
Committee will use
it's discretion to pass on any EDNA forfeit fees to teams for payment where we feel appropriate.
Thank you again for being part of our Club community. We’re looking forward to a great season ahead and seeing everyone courtside 🏐💙
Warm regards,
Becc Virgato
